A child asked his father, “How were people born?” So his father said, “Adam and Eve made babies, then their babies became adults and made babies, and so on.” The child then went to his mother, asked her the same question and she told him, “We were monkeys then we evolved to become like we are now.” The child ran back to his father and said, “You lied to me!” His father replied, “No, your mom was talking about her side of the family.”
I write morning pages. They are raw unedited words strung together by what has been on my mind, in my heart and deep within my subconscious. These are my life experiences, my daily journals or my thoughts. Sometimes, it might just be about a song I have heard. Other times, a recipe I want to try. Mostly, it is the story of words that I choose to live by.
Though these pages come unedited and sometimes with spelling and grammatical errors, know that they also come unadulterated. They're raw because we live raw lives. We do not get to go back and edit our choices. That parallel is what I am trying to draw within these blogs.
